MBCR has a rich history in service to the Lord's work. In 1950 Coach Virgil Yow began Camp-Pla-Mor. A Christian Sports camp. We often have people stop by saying they came here. Many locals also remember taking swimming lessons in our swimming pool.
Bob & Jerri Allen took over in 1983 and it became Christos Village camp and conference center. It was mainly a baptist camp.
Henry & Lynn Brock took over in 1994 and it became Myrtle Beach Christian Retreat. We are open to all denominations. We are still going strong 23 years later and is a 501c3 Non profit oraganization.
